SST Sensing

SST Sensing’s Optomax Industrial Glass devices are targeted at installation within harsh industrial environments. Thanks to their stainless steel construction and glass sensor tip, these single point liquid level switches are said to exhibit elevated operational robustness. As a result, these devices are highly suited to applications where they are exposed to extreme temperatures (up to 125°C) and high pressures (up to 600bar).

A supplier of advanced gas and fluid sensing technology, SST Sensing, continues to expand its portfolio of high accuracy oxygen sensor devices. The zirconia screw fit housing option provides engineers with the basis for a simple to implement solution, where only the sensor head itself is exposed to the sample gas environment.

In order to meet the demands of modern oxygen monitoring applications, SST Sensing Ltd has developed the Zirconia Miniature series of sensors. Supplied space saving 12mm diameter metal cans, these 5-pin devices possess an array of attributes to maximize their effectiveness at measuring oxygen levels in virtually any environment.

GCU (Glasgow Caledonian University) researchers are collaborating with SST Sensing to develop new sensors, which measure levels of oxygen in the air for a wide range of industrial applications. Funded by a two-year Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP), from which GCU will be awarded £140,000, the partners aim to develop next-gen small, low-cost gaseous oxygen sensors.
