Curtiss-Wright’s Industrial division has announced the launch of the VTS2021, a dual-axis, vibration-tolerant tilt sensor that offers an optimal combination of performance, safety and cost in dynamic applications, making the sensor suitable for pitch and roll detection for on- and off-highway industrial-vehicle applications, including mobile elevating work platforms.

The launch of the NRH305DR has been announced by Curtiss-Wright’s Industrial division, as a new ‘no-contact’ rotary position sensor that extends the company’s portfolio of position sensors and offers an optimal combination of performance, safety and cost for OEMs designing vehicles and control systems.

A range of British designed and manufactured electric forklift trucks from Nexen Lift Trucks have specified the NRH272 rotary position sensors from Curtiss-Wright Industrial division’s brand family of Penny & Giles. To maximise storage space within a building footprint, aisle width in warehouses is being reduced and many lift truck manufacturers are having to adopt the latest technologies to ensure material handling vehicles can operate safely and effectively within these new narrow aisle environments.

  The launch of the JC050 has been announced by Curtiss-Wright Industrial division, which is a Hall-effect thumbwheel roller that is suitable for integration within joystick hand-grips and other in-cab human-machine interfaces (HMI) in specialty off-highway vehicles.

The NRH27C is a non-contact rotary position sensor from Curtiss-Wright which is suitable for use on speciality on- and off-highway vehicles utilising CANbus communications. Developed by Curtiss-Wright’s legacy brand of Penny & Giles, the NRH27C extends the company’s recently introduced NRH271 and NRH272 family and shares many similar features.

Curtiss-Wright announced that it has entered into a multi-year agreement with German automobile manufacturer BMW Group to provide its Exlar brand of integrated, roller screw driven electric actuators for use on robotic weld guns. Under the agreement, Curtiss-Wright will provide all required robotic weld gun actuators for two new facilities currently under construction in North America.

Curtiss-Wright Corporation announced that its Exlar linear actuator line has been expanded to include the EL120 explosion-proof linear actuators. The EL120 linear actuator meets ATEX requirements for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and are in conformity with the EU ATEX Directive 94/9/EC as well as the IECEx Scheme. Additionally, it is rated for Class I, Div 1, Groups B, C, D, and T4 hazardous environments.The EL Series of linear actuators integrate a highly efficient planetary roller screw mechanism with a high torque servomotor in a single self-contained package. This highly robust design is engineered to provide reliable and precise operation over thousands of hours, handling heavy loads—even under arduous conditions.
