Three litre and six litre ultrasonic cleaning tanks that make professional parts-cleaning performance accessible to any workshop environment have been introduced by RS Components. The rugged and durable stainless steel tanks ensure a tidy appearance over a long lifetime, and users can take advantage of professional features, including a choice of full-power or delicate cleaning modes.

There is also a separate degas mode that expels air from fluid, which is useful for preparing fluid for chemical analysis, for instance.

Ultrasonic cleaning is a gentle and powerful way to remove tarnish, fuel residues, grease, rust, carbon deposits and general dirt and grime from any kind of part or assembly immersed in the cleaning fluid.

It is ideal for items such as milling cutters, paint spray guns and machine parts, and gives a thorough clean without damaging the surface finish. The delicate-clean mode featured on both new models from RS operates at half power to provide extra protection for fragile parts.

The 3-litre model has a 100W heater capable of quickly bringing the fluid up to optimum temperature for cleaning. The generous tank dimensions of 240mm x 137mm x 100mm enable the user to tackle a wide range of cleaning tasks for metals, glass, ceramics and most hard, non-absorbent materials.

The 6-litre model has a 300W heater and a 300mm x 153mm x 150mm tank that can save time by holding larger assemblies without dismantling, or by allowing large numbers of smaller parts to be cleaned simultaneously.
