The Stevie Awards are looking for the best female entrepreneurs

Entries for the 14^th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business are now open and looking for the world’s top honours for women entrepreneurs, executives, employees, and the organisations they run. The final entry deadline is 23^rd August and late entries will be accepted until 20^th September with payment of a late fee.

Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards shared: “Women are a tremendous force in the global economy. We therefore want to encourage women entrepreneurs, executives and employees all over the world to seek and receive the recognition that they deserve.”

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honour the achievements of working women in more than 85 categories including, among others, Female Entrepreneur of the Year, Female Executive of the Year, Mentor or Coach of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, Women Helping Women, Female Employee of the Year, Woman-Owned or -Run Company of the Year and Female Innovator of the Year.

New this year is the category Most Innovative Woman of the Year. These categories will recognise individual women for the innovations they initiated, developed, or launched since the beginning of July 2016. Subcategories are available for in seven sectors and industries.

Also new is the category Female Solo Entrepreneur of the Year. It honours the achievements of individual female entrepreneurs.

By winning a Gold, Silver or Bronze Stevie Award, business women and their organisations gain increased media awareness. Further benefits are increased brand recognition and a positive reputation as attractive employers. In a short video Michael Gallagher explains the benefits for women of entering business awards.

Gallagher elaborates another reason to encourage women to enter business awards like the Stevie Awards: “The winners of the Stevie Awards for Women in Business are great role models for women and girls worldwide. With their stories they inspire other women to follow their lead, start their own businesses and aim for leadership and executive positions. Simply put: to rise up to their potential. Stevie Awards winners encourage other women to be bold and follow their professional vocation.”

A jury of many leading women entrepreneurs, executives and luminaries worldwide will evaluate the entries, before the winners of the 14th annual competition will be announced at a gala awards dinner at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on 17^th November.
