Farnell recognised for outstanding achievements by Bournes, International Rectifier, Emerson, Lecroy, TDK-EPCOS and Microchip at electronica 2010

Farnell has been recognised by its suppliers for outstanding achievement and presented with the below awards at this year’s electronica:


Strongest New Customer Growth 2010 - Bourns

This award, presented by Denise Lause, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Bourns,

was presented to Farnell for its exceptional new customer acquisitions throughout 2010, especially demonstrating the success Farnell has achieved with the Bourns Multifuse product range.


European High Service Distributor 2010 - International Rectifier

The European High Service Distributor 2010 award was presented by Adam White, Senior Vice President, Global Sales at IR in recognition of Farnell’s exceptional sales performance in 2010. Farnell continues to be the number one Power Mosfet supplier and is responsible for 25% of the total Mosfet sales.


Sales and Revenue Growth - Emerson

Phil Lamb, Vice President Sales Europe at Emerson presented their Sales and Revenue Growth award to Farnell based on their exceptional New Product Introduction (NPI) growth within Europe throughout 2010. The NPI growth in Q3 exceeded 26% placing Farnell ahead of all high service competition.


New Product Introduction (NPI) Excellence 2010 - Lecroy

The NPI Excellence award was presented by Roberto Petrillio, Vice President of Sales North America and Europe at Lecroy in recognition of Farnell’s exceptionally high rate and pace of NPI. Lecroy acknowledged Farnell placed ahead of other distributors and were particularly impressed with the global breadth of Farnell’s eCommerce marketing channels.


Sales Award 2010 – TDK-EPCOS

For the second time, Farnell has received the coveted ‘TDK-EPCOS’ Sales Award, presented by Dietmar Jaeger, Senior Director Distribution Sales at TDK-EPCOS. This award is in recognition of the impressive sales growth, in excess of 60% for Farnell Europe. EPCOS who recently merged with TDK Inductor/Magnetics product range continues to stay number one in Farnell’s inductor supplier portfolio.

Global Development Tool Sales and Marketing Excellence Award 2010 - Microchip

In recognition of Premier Farnell’s commitment to its suppliers, Microchip’s CEO Steve Sanghi presented the Microchip Global Development Tool Sales and Marketing Excellence Award to CEO Harriet Green for Premier Farnell’s global sales over £1.4 million for their point of sale development boards. This success secured Premier Farnell as Microchip’s number one global distributor for their development kits sales.
