Amount of 3D data available to design engineers increased

Meeting with the European leaders of the mechanical power transmission industry, is TraceParts, during the annual EPTDA convention to present the sales benefits linked to publishing the technical and 3D data of mechanical transmission components online.

As a partner to EPTDA since 2012, TraceParts has worked closely with several influential members of the association to develop a CAD platform devoted to engineers who use power transmission components in their design projects. This platform has now become an essential tool for thousands of design offices, who can identify, validate and download CAD models of parts, such as couplings, bearings, rail guides, bearing blocks, pulleys and hubs in the CAD format corresponding to the software used.

The transmission components of these 19 members, including INA/FAG, NSK, REXNORD, SKF and SNR, are also promoted on the TraceParts CAD platform which makes technical specifications and CAD files available to more than 15 million designers around the world.

In terms of the bearings product-family alone, over 1.1 million 3D files were downloaded from the TraceParts CAD platform last year, thereby enabling bearing manufacturers and distributors to provide their customers and prospects with both technical and sales support.
