Companies collaborate to supply cassette assembly system
BioDot, a supplier of system tools for diagnostic tests, and JOT Automation, a supplier of test and production solutions have installed an automated cassette assembly system for the volume manufacturing of lateral flow tests to the Chinese Inspection & Quarantine Facility (CIQ). The modular desktop assembly cell is based on the JOT IDeA (Intelligent Desktop Automation) platform.

RMI appoints Jason Jones as Business Development and Territory Manager for Southern US region

RMI has strengthened its international sales presence with the appointment of Jason Jones. Jason will primarily focus on the Southern US region, though his experience within the Oil and Gas industry will help the company to continue its expansion worldwide. Jason is working within the Industrial Division of RMI Pressure Systems which supplies high pressure pumping solutions to onshore and offshore applications as well as steel and power plant customers.

The latest rapid protoyping 3D printer added to the RS Components portfolio is the production-quality micro-SLA ProJet 1200 from 3D Systems. The printer is the first product in the RS 3D printer range to use stereolithography (SLA) technology, which delivers a smoother finish and builds layers that are less visible compared to alternative low-cost 3D printer technologies such as Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF).
