Ovivo's Bosker Range of Trashrakes provides highly effective coarse screening at inlets to wastewater pumping stations and treatment plants – especially in urban areas where heavy debris in large sewers can cause major problems.
Capable of removing even the most awkward municipal rubbish, including plastic sacking, tyres or even chemical barrels, Ovivo’s Bosker protects vital water industry assets and processes.
Often acting as the very first screening stage, Bosker can be retrofitted to existing sites without any serious modifications to an existing works – and operates efficiently and effectively without permanently submerging any moving machinery parts. The structure is tailored to each installation and is designed to optimise available space, whilst being aesthetically sympathetic when retrofitted to existing sites. In order to reduce alterations to civil works the Trashrake’s framework is mounted to existing floors and walls. Already proven in numerous land drainage and culvert installations, as well as at sea water intakes, nuclear and hydroelectric power stations, this acclaimed product from the comprehensive Ovivo water industry portfolio is also designed with low noise for urban sites.
The Bosker system does not require a washwater trough or debris conveyor. Debris is extracted from the screen and transported directly to the waste collection area.
