Digital Modbus Pressure Transmitter EC6 with Very Fast Response Time

The Modbus Fast Response pressure transmitter EC6, developed by Baumer's product segment Process Instrumentation on special customer request, stands out due to its extremely fast response time of only 1msec. For the first time, a very fast, robust and fully configurable pressure measuring device can be provided for applications communicating over Modbus such as pressure test benches and water treatment or gas generation units.

The pressure transmitter EC6 is based on a capacitive ceramic sensor and can measure absolute or gauge pressure from 0…100 mbar up to 40 bar. The case is made of stainless steel.

The pressure transmitter communicates via a digital RS485 Modbus RTU output signal. Besides the extraordinarily fast response time of only one millisecond, the device offers a high accuracy (<0,5% of full scale) over a temperature range from -40°C to 85°C and an excellent overpressure safety. It is also very resistant against shocks and vibrations.

The EC6 is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications like test benches for motors, for gas generation and water treatment as well as for the air control in the production of plastic bottles.
