JDN Air Hoists Suit Site Conditions
News Release from:

The range of air powered hoists and handling equipment manufactured by J D Neuhaus are particularly suited to construction site operations. These products can be relied on to work in conditions of dust laden atmospheres, as well as withstanding both high and low temperatures and inclement outdoor weather. They are not subject to the conventional limitations of electric powered equipment where working in dirty or humid conditions would raise issues of both operator safety and product performance and reliability. In fact, the JDN products have 100% duty ratings even when sited in hazardous areas according to EC Directive on Hazardous Locations 94/9/EEC.
Included in their range are Profi hoists, with carrying capacities ranging from 250kg up to 100 tonnes. These steel bodied hoists are robust yet lightweight and combine ease of operation with low-maintenance and lubrication-free performance. They can be trolley mounted for monorail operation, with trolleys being manually, chain or air-motor controlled. In all cases, sensitive infinitely variable speed control is provided for the accurate positioning of loads.
In addition, JDN air operated winches for lifting or pulling operations can also be provided. These cover load capacities from 500 to 3000kg with products designed for maximum mobility, ideal for a wide range of site operations.
Where manually operated or electric-powered hoists would be appropriate, then the Kito range of handling equipment can also be supplied. Capacities range from 0.25 to 50 tonnes and include their CX003 ultra compact, lightweight manual chain hoist with a load capacity of 250kg. With this unit, which has an all-up weight of only 2.4kg, a lift height of 2.5 metres can be achieved with a manual effort of only 15kgf. Ideal for duct installations, and general movement of loads and maintenance tasks.
The Kito ER series covers electric chain hoists with a working range from 125kg up to 20 tonnes. These can be trolley mounted for overhead suspension, with manual, geared or motorised traverse operation. Single or dual lift speeds are selectively available together with supplementary speed options on some models. For tie-down and general lifting or pulling operations, Kito lever blocks can be supplied. These have capacities from 0.8 to 9 tonnes, and combine total portability with ease of operation while also incorporating a positive braking mechanism.
