Endress+Hauser becomes the only process instrument manufacturer with both lab and field accredited calibration

Endress+Hauser is now accredited to ISO17025 by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for both laboratory and field calibration of process instrumentation. Their new LaPorte Calibration and Service Center in LaPorte, Texas is the main laboratory; the accreditation covers both laboratory calibrations in LaPorte as well as field calibrations at a customer's location. Endress+Hauser is the only process instrument manufacturer with the ability to provide both lab and field accredited calibrations.

UK company, Products4Automation (P4A), could benefit from a worldwide framework agreement between Symrise and the FELTEN Group, for the introduction of FELTEN PILOT MES systems. Symrise is among the four largest providers of fragrance and flavouring substances, and base and active cosmetic ingredients worldwide, and is active in more than 35 countries. Under the framework agreement FELTEN will provide its unique PILOT MES system to Symrise plants globally, including those in Great Britain, where FELTEN is seeking to conclude an agreement with P4A, to act as the company's PILOT distributor for the UK.

Indeed, as opposed to being seen as a necessary evil, maintenance is now viewed by Allied Mills as a fully integrated element of the company's business effectiveness model. Perhaps most importantly, the implementation of SKF's maintenance programme has meant that the ratio of unplanned vs. planned maintenance at the company has been completely reversed, with planned work now accounting for 90% of the total, while significant reductions have also been made in Allied Mills' stores value and stock holding costs.

Weg provides turnkey automation project at state-of-the- art sugar mill for the production of ethanol

Famous across the world for its traditional aguardente (a strong alcoholic beverage obtained from sugarcane) the Ypióca group is investing in a new market: ethanol. The company has just inaugurated the Jaguaruana mill in the state of Ceará. Brazil. This has the capacity to produce between 40 and 60 million liters/year of ethanol, around 90 million liters/year of cachaça (another name for aguardente), as well as the capability to produce neutral alcohol. Totally automated, the new plant is the result of an investment of approximately US$ 145,580 mil. It's one of the most modern in the world and it's strategic for the company. With the new mill, the goal is to supply one third of the market of Ceará with ethanol for the next three to four- years, and increase the turnover of the group by around 20%. Today, Ceará imports 160 million liters/year of ethanol and practically all the product goes to gas pumps.
