New Distributor for TI Rotomoulding Clamps
News Release from:
Eckold Ltd
26/09/2007
Exclusive distribution rights in the UK and mainland Europe for the Eckold range of TI mould clamps have been awarded to Matrix Polymers Limited. These products will complement an extensive range of polymers and ancillary equipment also available from this company, who specialise in supplying the rotational moulding industry.
Roy Simpson, New Projects Director for Matrix Polymers claims, “this will be an important addition to our ‘one step shopping’ philosophy. These clamps are used by a wide number of moulders and tooling suppliers and we are looking to expand both the home and European export markets for these products.”
The TI clamps have been designed for the rotomoulding market involved with the production of plastics components considered to be too large for conventional injection moulding techniques. Typical products include larger volume containers such as wheelie bins, silage tanks, water butts, compost containers, general static storage tanks and IBC’s, but can include items for the toys market and even surf boards. In the production of these products, two-part steel or even aluminium moulds are fabricated, with the quick release TI clamps used to securely hold together the mating mould flanges during the oven heating and curing processes of production.
The TI clamps are manufactured from medium carbon steel and include both horizontal and vertical clamps in three gripping sizes of 0-35, 30-55 and 50-75mm. These are complemented by Max clamps in standard and lever point configuration with both types having five models covering gripping ranges from 0-25 to 0-65mm in size. All the clamps are overcentre devices for positive closure and easy release, with sizes designed specifically for rotomoulding applications.
Worldwide inquiries for these products are welcomed by Eckold Ltd, with the European distributor Matrix Polymers also able to provide Mold-In-Graphics-Systems (MIGS) and Wheeler Boyce products as well as other ancillary product for assisting rotomoulders to improve both quality and efficiency.
