Trends in mobile hydraulics at a glance

News Release from: Bosch Rexroth

Environmental impact, energy, function and cost: The four hottest topics in the lift truck market are the main focus of Rexroth's trade fair exhibition at this year's CeMAT. Visitors to the stand will find out the latest developments and trends in mobile hydraulics through four separate focus areas – each 'cube' representing the four important market drivers.

Trends in mobile hydraulics at a glanceIn the environmental impact cube, the Advanced Forklift Truck Management (AFM) display shows how harmonised sub-systems can help increase the energy efficiency of lift trucks. Using the AFM concept, the engine, travel drive and implement hydraulics work together specifically to reduce power consumption and emissions.

On the topic of energy, Rexroth shows how closed-centre, load-sensing systems optimise the energy efficiency of a lift truck using a variable pump. A full driving cycle is used to determine the energy requirements of the steering, travel drive and implement hydraulics at the various phases and thus demonstrates the overall savings potential.

The cube for the function market driver sheds light on flow sharing (LUDV). This control guarantees a constant power supply to all hydraulic consumers even when the available flow is not sufficient. In this case, all of the lift truck functions are maintained and therefore performance is increased.

Everything revolves around cost in the final cube. Rexroth's Power Packs are an example of ready-to-install, compact units requiring minimum installation effort. Furthermore, the lift truck manufacturers save on both effort and cost for the piping as all of the main components are integrated. Valuable installation space is thus also saved.
