2115QTiMAX & 2125QTiMAX

News Release from: Ingersoll Rand
04/09/2008

Ingersoll Rand has released the 2115QTiMAX and 2125QTiMAX, new 3/8 and 1/2 square drive Mini Titanium Impactools. They deliver the market best power-to-size and power-to-weight ratios in their class for less operator fatigue. Following in the tradition of the 2135QTiMAX, the market-leading 1/2 Impactool, the new tools feature best-in-class performance, lowest weight, unmatched control and are now backed by a 2-year limited warranty.

2115QTiMAX & 2125QTiMAXThe new 2115QTiMAX (3/8) and 2125QTiMAX (1/2) deliver respectively 407 Nm (300 ft-lbs) and 450 Nm (332 ft-lbs) of maximum torque in reverse. With a length of only 155 mm (6.10 in) and a weight of 1.14 kg (2.5 lbs), they deliver the best power-to-size and power-to-weight ratios in their class for less operator fatigue.

The Ingersoll Rand Twin-Hammer impact mechanism delivers more power per kilogram and is less sensitive to air pressure fluctuations than any other design. In addition, the use of Titanium for the hammer case reduces weight and provides ultimate durability and strength unmatched by any other material.

The new housing design offers improved air flow for greater power and includes a more ergonomic handle design and retention of the forward/reverse push-buttons. Along with the new housing, the Titanium hammer case was also redesigned and upgraded with easy-to-access and high-flow grease fitting for improved maintenance. The new 2115QTiMAX and 2125QTiMAX now feature a 7-vane rotor, rather than a 6-vane motor in the original tool, that delivers more power with less weight. Increased performance did not compromised air consumption, which is still the lowest in the category for reduced cost of ownership.

Similar to the 2135QTiMAX, the new models have also been re-engineered for maximum control. Their patented feather-touch trigger and wider power regulator settings allow operators to better apply torque in a variety of demanding applications. With the unique and patented one-handed forward-reverse controls, operators can conveniently switch between tasks or applications.

For increased operator comfort, the new Ingersoll Rand Impactools feature the exclusive Quiet Tool technology that significantly reduces sound levels caused by air pulsating through the motor.
