A new production method developed by igus® means its igubal® rod end bearings now have a range of spherical ball materials on offer. The aim is not only to give users a greater choice, but also higher operational safety, service life and better overall system quality.

This new material options make various versions possible: for example, the “iglidur® X” ball for high pressure resistance even under permanently high temperatures, or “iglidur UW” for underwater applications. iglidur J offers a particularly low friction value, while iglidur R is a low-cost version .The next generation igubal rod ends also have an integrated lock nut.

As with all igubal machine components made of high-performance igus polymers, the KBRM rod end bearing is dry-running and therefore completely maintenance-free. The service life within a given application can also be calculated.

The rod end bearing is currently available with a shaft diameter of 10 mm, but diameters of 6, 8 and 12 mm will be available soon.
